The BFG

The big friendly giant. He is very friendly and he's giant. He is very caring towards Sophie. He has giant ears that sit on the side of his head, he also has a big nose that can smell almost everything! Grey hair goes around his neck to the tip of head. He has soft little eyes  and wrinkly skin. The BFG is very different to all the other giants, he doesn't want to hurt children when all the other giants do. The BFG is the softest most nicest most kindest giant you will ever meet. Anyone would be lucky to meet this amazing giant.😊
 

Action world!!!

On the 2/12/19 we went to action world! It was amazing. It had lots of obstacle courses and food it was so fun! My best friend went on a giant trapeze it was so high I mean super duper high! I was way to scared to do that. There was I a giant tight rope a wobbly ladder and The world biggest blow up slide! We went with 2 other classes, Kauri and Purri. It was cool hanging out with that class. One of my favourites was the giant blow up slide it was scary at first but i got used to it😄 Another one was the Tarzan jump thing it was so fun it was like the trapeze but a little smaller, you had to swing to each one and when you got to the end you had to jump over this little monster it was very hard. There are few photos of action world, I highly recommend going there because it's awesome!! Overall it was amazing and I hope I can go again!!!😀😄 

The Amazing Magic Show💥

Our school was lucky enough to have a amazing visit from the great the wonderful Vas kovalski. He is a magical magician he performed some cool tricks stunts and more. It was amazing. He had live animals, fire and more. One trick was when he turned a bird into a bunny it was awesome. He played a funny prank on a girl, he went to grab a bottle of tomato sauce then went to spray at her but it was just paper.😄 Then another trick was when he made money duplicate in a glass case. Overall it was he the best magician I have ever seen I highly recommend him, he was amazing.

Market day plan

Last thursday Mel from live wire media came and talked to our class about our products that we are making for market day.

One of the things she spoke to us about was that we have to make a product that people would 

actually buy.

Another thing she spoke about was that we had to make a product better than our competitors.

Action Plan

Step one : Make a list of ingredients for Whaea Meg.

Step two:Take the labels of the jars.

Step three: Ask Whaea Meg for ribbons and other decor.

Step four: Design the tags/labels and add ribbon.

Step five: Assemble the ingredients.

Step six: Sell at market day

Our product is cookie mix in a jar. Our target market are kids and adults that want cookies.🍪 

We are going to decorate the cookie jars with ribbons and other cool things

Pet day

Pet day🐶

On Tuesday it was pet day and it was amazing!!

There were lambs, dogs, cats there was even a goat!!

My class made 6 pieces of art, bird art, landscapes, poems, and much more

There were food stalls that had nachos, hot chips drinks and home baking

There was a lamb competition dogs and small animals

My class made our own games and we got loads of money from them

Me and my friend was running cup toss and there were others like catch all the fish and potty toss and marble run we earned so much money

overall Pet day was so fun and i can't wait till next years one😉

I think I did pretty well, the hardest part was all the editing but it was really fun 

to do. I like how I did lots of writing and speech and I think maybe next time I should take less time to make it.😉

Science Together

Science!!!!

Today we were doing science and it was mind BLOWING!!!! We did all kinds of activities like making Oobleck and making ROCKETS and other cool stuff. I loved watching the rockets launch up into the air and landing in the pool! We did four rotations today. Firstly, we made cheese then we made wind vanes than we looked at things through a microscope it was amazing. The hardest out of all of them was the wind vane because we had to bend this really hard wire I can't wait for the next one!!!

Movie making

On Friday we started to make some short movies

We were learning to compose different types of shots.

We were learning to follow the storyboard.

We were learning to collaborate with our group and work in different roles (editor, camera person, actor,directer

We were successful in the acting

The hardest part was understanding the directer

Next time maybe we could try different roles

Kia kaha kiwi!!!!!

                           This is me and my classmates. We were getting ready for the production. We are                                     hunters and yes we have face-paint on. I think that our costumes were amazing and                                 the face paint was awesome, I wish that we had props but yeah it was amazing.

                                I was learning to draw a cubes and make different shapes with them
                                We used Isometric paper, Isometric paper is a type of paper that has dots on it so                                          we followed the dots and created cubes and yes it was our maths😉
                               Hardest thing about it was understanding how to do it at first but now I got the                                         hang of it. Do you think that you could make a castle with cubes
