Camp

Camp. The year 4 to 7 went to Taupo bay and had an awesome camp. The first day we we're there we did beach activities like scavenger hunt and swimming. The next day we went to Lane cove and went on the giant walk. It wasn't that bad as last years one. Some of us we're pretty tired but we finally made it to the waterhole. It was freezing cold but it was so fun.We got back to camp tired but happy. The day we just had a fun day on the beach kayaking, surfing and beach games. Camp was tiring but really fun.

Disposable syringes

 Disposable syringes

Colin Murdoch, a curious man, decided to make disposable syringes. Colin Murdoch was a pharmacist, he tested all sorts of chemicals and substances. Though because pharmacy training required non human patients he decided to also veterinarian resume as well. He studied a lot of chemistry mechanics during his other resumes. Colin suffered dyslexia but that didn’t stop him from inventing things. He became a tinker and just had fun with a lot of things.

Colin started inventing all sorts of things like the tranquillising dart gun, silent burglar alarm. He made over 40 different inventions. The most important one was the disposable syringes. He created it in 1956. He got the idea from a fountain pen and just started tinkering. Next thing you know he made the syringe. People became cross invented by re-use of hypodermic syringes. Though on the down side the health department said his idea was too ahead of time, that never stopped him.

He got his first award for the child proof bottle cap. But the coolest one is the one he got for his syringe. He got the Governor General's Export award for his sterile refilled disposable hypodermic syringe. Colin got many awards in his years, and he is a very smart man.

I really enjoyed designing the kitchen and experimenting with different measurements
I did find getting the measurements exactly right was kinda difficult.

Tech 🔧

2020 was the first time I started tech. It is so fun. I love tech. This year I've done technology and wood works. Wood works is kinda hard but it's still really fun. I've been making a small stool. It's really hard to get the wood straight while your assembling it. You have to get it completely straight otherwise you have to do push-ups sadly. I haven't done any "yet". Now for technology. It's really cool to learn how to use different tools on the computer. I was making 3D blocks. My specific one was a pencil holder that could also hold your phones. Anyways I love tech it's so cool can't wait to go back.

Letter to essential workers❤️

Dear essential workers. Thank you for working through these rough times. Thank You to the doctors and nurses for making sure we're healthy and helping the sick people. They are having to work day and night to make sure people are safe and not sick. Thank you for the food production and the food delivery for getting food to the stores and people. They are having to work 24/7 trying to get food to everybody.Another thank you for the people who have to work at the stores and the petrol station’s. They are having to work for a long time, make sure the shelves are full. They are having to do lots of jobs that people don’t notice or appreciate. I just want to say thank you to all the people who are working through this and putting themselves before others. Thank you!
